John started his career in banking and moved to the disability sector.  Deciding on a new career path he first obained a Diploma of Accounting in 2009 and then went on to complete an Advanced Diploma and a Master of Professional Accounting.

Always ready to take on new challenges John has recently completed more study and in 2016 he obtained accreditation as a Chartered Accountant. Since joining Thornburys in 2008 John has assisted a steadily growing number of small businesses and individuals with taxation, structure and accounting advice.  He is also a keen musician with a passion for jazz. John is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
